Welcom Cabinets was started in 2000 by Yves Frech and John Silvia. Yves had been in cabinet sales and design work since 1988. John is a skilled carpenter and has installed over 1500 kitchens in the Charleston area. To this day, their duties are split between them with Yves handling the sales and design team, and John handling the production schedule, as well as overseeing the solid surface fabrication shop. Not a single kitchen sold at Welcom Cabinets is ever ordered without being approved by Yves for design and style, and John for functionality and appliance compatibility.

With over twenty-eight years of experience in the kitchen and bath design field, Yves is a trusted source in renovation and new home construction among local homebuilders, contractors, and homeowners. During his many years of drafting kitchens, Yves has developed a natural ability to bring cost-saving ideas to any project. Since the kitchen is an intricate part of every home, Yves pays attention to detail throughout the entire design process. Whether it’s creating entire lavish kitchens, closets, custom entertainments, or simply replacing a bathroom vanity cabinet, Yves is there to help along the way.
Yves, who was born in France, opened Welcom Cabinets in 2000 with the assistance of his business partner, John. Both bring 70 years combined knowledge to the table with assistances. He is a productive member of NKBA with well-known cabinet manufacturers and has been a member of their industry advisory council. Yves’ steadfastness and ability to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the industry have enabled Welcom Cabinets to survive and prosper in a downturned economy.
